Enjoy a different adventure each day in this exciting program designed for your teenager!
Each week of Teen Travelers participants will be exposed to a variety of recreational opportunities ranging from outdoor excursions like hiking, ropes courses and swimming at the lake, to visiting popular attractions like Canobie Lake Park and Roller Kingdom.
Using this exciting variety of engaging experiences, we aim to improve your teen's self-confidence, strengthen social and emotional skills, and encourage them to step out of their comfort zone in a safe and supportive environment.
Sunset Beach is offered on the shorter field trip days where teens can swim, hang out, and enjoy the afternoon in the sun.
In accordance of Christian's Law, all program participants are required to take a swim test if they decide to swim at Sunset Beach and on trips with open water. Swim tests will be offered on Mondays and administered buy a Sunset Beach lifeguard using Red Cross Level 3 skills as a guide. If a participant fails the swim test, they are required by state law to wear a life jacket while swimming. Life jackets will provided by the Recreation Department if needed.
Program Information:
Home Base Location: Coolidge School (drop off and pick up each day will occur at this location)
Accepting: 6-8th graders
**2022-2023 Current School Grade Level is used to determine eligibility.
Time: 9 am - 4 pm
*On "big" field trip days, the bus will return later and the program will run until 5:30 pm

Additional Information:
Teens need to bring water, a lunch & snack, sunscreen, towel and bathing suit (when applicable).
Field trips and activities are subject to change based on weather and participant input.
Participants will receive 2 t-shirts to wear on field trips.
Program price includes all costs listed above.
Sneakers for activities and appropriate clothing is required.
Staff are all CORI background checked.
Teen to staff ratio is 10 to 1.
Staff Directors are CPR/First Aid and Epi-Pen trained.
Note: Additional parent information including participant expectations (dress code, behavior and conduct, cell phone use, etc.) will be emailed to those registered before the program begins.
