Tennis Racket and Balls
Adaptive Tennis - Beginner Session
Beginner session ages: 8+ 
Instructor: Ed Thater
Location: Oak Middle School Tennis Courts
Sundays, April 14 - June 2 (6 weeks)
(Skip May 12 & May 26)
Beginner session: 1 - 2 pm
Cost: $75 per participant

The beginner session is an introductory tennis program for those with diverse abilities. Over the course of the program, participants will learn the basics of tennis through a fun and engaging curriculum. No previous experience is required to participate, and the program is open to those of all abilities. Younger children will focus on developing fundamental tennis skills while older participants will learn the basic strokes and match play. Participants are strongly encouraged to provide their own tennis rackets. There will be limited rackets available for participants to use who don't already have one.

Adaptive Tennis - Advanced Session
Advanced session ages: 16+
Instructor: Ed Thater
Location: Oak Middle School Tennis Courts
Sundays, April 14 - June 2 (6 weeks)
(Skip May 12 & May 26)
Advanced session: 2:15 - 3:30 pm
Cost: $75 per participant

The advanced program is for more experienced tennis players who have diverse abilities (recommended NTRP 2.5 and above, or at least a year of tennis experience). This program will be focused on helping experienced players improve their tennis games, with a particular emphasis on stroke development and tactical instruction. Sessions will center around serving and returning, improving rallying skills, and shot selection. Participants are strongly encouraged to provide their own tennis rackets. There will be limited rackets available for participants to use who don't already have one.
