Learn the basics of the fastest growing sport in America! Suzanne is a Certified Coach through the Professional Pickleball Registry, and will start at the very beginning, teaching rules, lingo, court awareness, grip, and then work in drills and match play. Bring your own paddle, balls provided.

Suzanne Cox is a USPA certified coach who teaches both beginners and intermediate players. She also co-organizes the annual Jacob Rogers Memorial Pickleball Tournament for youth mental health as well as consults for other charity tournaments in our area.
Class Descriptions:
Beginner 1:
This class is for players new or nearly new to the game of pickleball. In addition to rules of play, focus will include techniques for effective forehand shots, backhand shots, dinks, drops, serves, and return of serves. The goal of the class is to give players the skills needed to enjoy the game as well as connect with other beginner players.
Beginner 2:
This class if for players who have completed a Beginner 1 pickleball course or have equivalent skills and are ready to take their game to the next level. The class will center on both the technical and tactical skills needed to become a 3.0 player. Focus includes hitting medium-paced serves and volleys with direction and consistency; learning and using drop shots; gameplay resets, lobs and defending lobs; court positioning in different scenarios; and understanding how to maximize point opportunities.
Intermediate:
This class level is for solid 2.75 or 3.0 players who is trying to get to the next level. The focus will be on more effectively using challenging shots like the drop shot, increasing control of your shot placement, running set plays and scenarios, as well as developing more power in shots. Geared towards those who want to play more competitively and/or play in leagues and tournaments. Stacking will be covered in this session.
