Thank you for your generous contribution to the Shrewsbury Recreation Scholarship Fund. 
100% of your donation supports Shrewsbury residents in need of financial support to assist in paying for recreation programs for their children and family members. 

Although open to residents of all ages, most of our scholarship requests are for youth programs, like summer camp and winter basketball league.
Youth participation in recreation programs is more than just fun and games—it’s an investment in their future. By fostering physical health, mental well-being, and essential life skills, these programs prepare young people for success in all aspects of life. Encouraging participation ensures they grow into well-rounded, confident, and engaged individuals who contribute positively to their communities.

Rec Connect donations will be used to support our adaptive and inclusive programs for participants with disabilities. Community recreation means that people of all ages and all abilities are welcome, and sometimes folks require modified equipment or additional staff support to be successful in programs. These accommodations can be costly, but we aim to never charge those who need them more than anyone else so that cost is not a barrier to participation.
