Rec Summer: CIT Program

Our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program is designed for teens who want to develop leadership skills, gain hands-on experience working with children, and prepare for future roles as camp counselors. This program provides leadership training, skill building, personal growth, decision making, teamwork, conflict resolution and activity planning. The CIT Program is open to enthusiastic and responsible individuals aged 13-15 years old who are eager to learn and contribute to a positive camp experience.

Spaces are limited! Registration opens Tuesday, March 4th at 10am!

**Rec Summer Refund Policy:
-Registration for Rec Summer opens on March 4, 2025
-Registrant-initiated cancellations must be requested via email to parkrec@shrewsburyma.gov
-From March 4 - April 30, all cancellations will be subject to a $50 admin fee per week per child cancelled. The remainder can be refunded in the form of a household account credit for use on future programs or via Town issued check which may take up to 30 days to receive. 
-From May 1 - May  31, cancellations will be receive a 50% refund only for each week per child. 
-From June 1 - August 22 refunds will NOT be granted for Rec Summer cancellations in any amount. MAY 31 is the last day to cancel registrations for Rec Summer to receive any type of refund. 
-If your schedule has changed, and there is a spot open in another week of Rec Summer, you may request to transfer weeks at no additional charge. 
-AM & PM care cancellations will be subject to a $5 (each) admin fee (per week) and will be refunded in the form of household account credits ONLY. 
-If the Recreation Department needs to cancel Rec Summer programs/weeks for any reason, you will receive a FULL refund via your choice of account credit or Town-issued check.
