Wednesday Hikes • Register • View Cart •

Join Shrewsbury resident and Trails Committee member Melanie Magee for weekly local hikes!
Hikes will each be about 1 hour long. The hikes are not too strenuous,
and we will maintain a comfortable pace.

Recommended Equipment/Supplies:
Comfortable and secure footwear 
Insect repellent
Water bottle 
Hat
Sunscreen
Wear layers and dress for the weather

*Hikes will be canceled if the weather is bad or very hot.


Hike Dates & Locations:

May 28: Jordan Pond. Meet at the parking area on Ridgeland Road. Length of hike is 1.2 miles.

June 11: Lake Street Park. Meet at the picnic tables.

June 25: Camp Wunnegan. Meet at the new parking area off Route 140. About 1 mile
with some gentle slopes.


A note from Melanie:
I have been a Shrewsbury resident for 46 years and have a long-standing interest in the town. I was a Town Meeting member for 26 years, and I am a founding member of the Shrewsbury Trails Committee (since 2012). I currently serve on the Community Preservation Committee. I have found that many people are completely unaware of the delightful spaces at our doorsteps and want to introduce more people to them. I am committed to the enjoyment of nature and the benefits of walking in the fresh air and want to see our outdoor recreational spaces protected, improved, and extended.
