USTA Doubles Tennis Tournament

This tournament will be held outdoors at Dean Park in Shrewsbury, MA on Saturday, October 18, 2025 and will run from 1-5pm. You do not need a paid USTA membership to play in this tournament. Ages 18 and up are welcome to participate.

This tournament is run in conjunction with USTA New England's Social Tennis League, where we prioritize sportsmanship to make sure all players feel respected and comfortable at our leagues and events. Please note that unsportsman-like conduct will not be tolerated (see here for our Rules & Regulations regarding sportsmanship).

Entry into this tournament is first come first served. Your spot in this tournament is not guaranteed until we finalize the draw after registration closes. Once the draw is finalized, we will charge all accepted players. Since this is a doubles tournament, both partners must be individually registered AND linked as teammates in our system before registration fills. If you have trouble pairing during registration, please email socialtennis@newengland.usta.com to have us manually pair you together. If you do not have a partner, please email us before registering and we will try to help find you a partner.
Tournament format:
  • Co-ed doubles (i.e., gender is not specified)
  • Low intermediate level: players must be between 3.0 and 3.5 NTRP
  • Maximum number of teams accepted: 8
  • Consolation bracket (i.e., everyone is guaranteed at least two matches)
  • 45-minute timed matches playing one 6-game set with ads (Please note: The exact format may change based on the number of teams that register)
  • Group warm up is from 1-1:15pm; first round of matches starts promptly at 1:15pm
  • Players should check in at least 15 minutes before their first scheduled match
  • All match balls will be provided; please bring your own balls to use for warm up
  • We will email the tournament bracket to all players several days prior to the tournament
  • Prizes will be awarded to the top teams!
  • Scores will count towards WTN ratings
  • Please make sure to bring plenty of water as there may not be a water fountain on site
