Classes at The Core Connection - In Studio Group Cycling Group CyclingAddress: Core Cycle (299 West Main St.)A 50-minute class designed to challenge your body and mind. Be coached to the next level of fitness by experienced instructors who will take you on a ride designed to improve cardiovascular strength and endurance, while also improving muscular strength, speed, and endurance. Whether you are a seasoned on-road rider, a spinning enthusiast, or just starting your journey, our instructors will challenge you on endurance-based, interval, and strength-based or race-day style rides that will reward you with a higher level of fitness and confidence. NOTE: Cycling classes are located at Core Cycle, 299 West Main Street (in the same plaza as Romaine's). For your safety, there is no admittance after 10 minutes of the class start time. Notify your instructor if you are a new rider and please arrive 10 minutes before the start time to get properly set up on the bike. Please bring water and a towel into class. Pedals have toe straps which accommodate athletic footwear.

This barre routine will have you working up a sweat in no time, combining barre exercises with high-intensity cardio intervals! This fun, upbeat full body workout is an efficient way to build muscle and burn calories long after your workout is over. We'll get your heart pumping and bring a smile to your face! Don't worry, we’ll give you low and high impact options to suit YOUR comfort level. Get ready to have a cardio blast! Students take class barefoot or you can wear grip socks.Zumba ToningAddress: 290 W. Main St - Main StudioWhen it comes to body sculpting, Zumba® Toning raises the bar (or rather, the toning stick). It combines targeted body-sculpting exercises and high-energy cardio work with Latin-infused Zumba moves to create a calorie-torching, strength-training dance fitness-party. Students learn how to use lightweight, maraca-like Toning Sticks to enhance rhythm and tone all their target zones, including arms, abs and thighs. Zumba Toning is the perfect way for enthusiasts to sculpt their bodies naturally while having a total blast. (NOTE: If you own Zumba toning sticks please bring them. We have some at the studio.)Zumba LiteA low impact dance class that is perfect for those not ready to move as fast as our regular Zumba® class. This class will put a smile on your face as you dance your troubles away! Incorporates the basic rhythms of Merengue, Cumbia, Salsa, & Cha Cha at a lower intensity but will definitely keep you moving. Variety of music from all over the world & genres used. Benefits include strengthening muscles, improving cardiovascular health and posture and FUN!Fit for Every Body
This low intensity workout combines cardio, strength, flexibility and balance (modified to a seated position if necessary). A perfect exercise class for those just starting an exercise routine, those with balance issues, those recovering from an injury or surgery, or anyone who needs a low intensity workout.
Learn to LiftAddress: 290 W. Main St - Main StudioDo you want to get stronger and move better? This class incorporates mobility, basic movement patterns, and core stability exercises using Bosu, kettlebells, dumbbells and barbells to improve strength, joint mobility and overall health. Suitable for all levels of fitness.

Tae Kwon Do - Tae Kwon Do Shrewsbury Recreation has once again partnered with our local US Take Kwon Do Center to offer martial arts classes to a variety of ages at an affordable price. Classes will take place at their location: 370 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury*This program is offered for new members only! After your session is over you can sign up directly with the US Take Kwon Do CenterYou will receive your first uniform at no additional charge.What is Tae Kwon Do and how is it different from other martial arts? The different martial arts all originated in different countries thousands of years ago as forms of self-defense. For example, Karate comes from Japan, Kung Fu from China and Tae Kwon Do is native to Korea.In terms of martial art techniques, Tae Kwon Do emphasizes kicks more than other martial arts, making it ideal for improving your child's strength, balance, flexibility and endurance.
